Rose Wilde is a self-taught artist and former professional gardener. She began painting when disability forced her to give up her gardening career. She is endlessly inspired by plants, gardens and the natural world and has turned her experiences of chronic illness and disability into vibrant, magical surrealist art. 

She uses plant life as communication, imbuing plants and flowers with deeper meaning; and recreating them reverently in paint, thanks to her botanical knowledge. Mostly working in acrylics, Rose is also a compulsive sketcher and incorporates collage techniques in some of her work.
