Welcome to Art in the Heath - a celebration of creativity right in the heart of Kings Heath. From 5th July to 19th July 2025, our neighbourhood transforms into a vibrant gallery, showcasing work by some of the most exciting artists in the West Midlands.
Stroll the high street, discover original art in independent shops, and meet the makers behind the work. Whether you’re an art lover, a curious passerby, or just looking for something inspiring to do, Art in the Heath is for you.

1. Pick up a free map
Collect your printed map from any participating venue, including • nook • gallery & studios, The Heath Bookshop, Fletchers Bar and Eatery, and the other independent shops involved or download below:
2. Follow the Art Trail
Visit 14 independent shops and venues around Kings Heath displaying work by 27 talented local artists.
3. Join In
Take part in our competitions and family activities, like:
Colour in the Heath (free colouring sheets of all the venues) Pick up your free colouring sheets from • nook • gallery & studios (Institute Road) – with artwork by Tiggy from our trail map.Hand your creative masterpiece back in to nook for the chance to win a prize!*
Find the Letters Competition
Pick up one letter from each participating venue, then unscramble all 14 letters to reveal the secret art-themed word. Solve the puzzle for your chance to win book vouchers worth £25 in total—£12.50 to spend at How Brave is the Wren and £12.50 to spend at The Heath Bookshop!*

4. Support Independent Artists
All work is available to view, and many pieces are for sale. Scan the QR codes on the artists title cards.
Every purchase helps sustain the creative community in Birmingham.

Art in the Heath: “Colour the Heath!” Competition – Terms & Conditions
Eligibility
Open to all ages! Children under 16 must have permission from a parent or guardian. One entry per person.
How to Enter
Collect your free colouring sheet from • nook • gallery & studios (Institute Road, Kings Heath). Colour it in however you like, then return it to nook by the deadline to enter the prize draw.
Please clearly write your name and a contact number or email on the back of your entry so we can notify you if you win.
Competition Period
The competition opens on 5th July 2025 and closes at 5:00pm on 5th September 2025. Entries submitted after this date will not be considered.
Prizes
One winner will be chosen to receive a special prize and a shout-out on our social media channels. (By submitting your entry, you are agreeing to have the entry shown on our UASB Instagram, Facebook, and our official website.)
Winner Selection & Notification
A winner will be selected by the UASB team based on creativity and originality. The winner will be contacted by 12th September 2025 via the contact details provided at submission. If we do not hear back within 5 days, another winner may be selected.
Display of Entries
Selected entries may be displayed in the gallery or on our social media channels. By entering, you grant permission for your artwork (first name only) to be shared publicly.
Data Protection
Any personal details collected will only be used for the purposes of this competition and will not be shared with third parties.
