Art in the Heath
Arts Trail 2025
We are excited to launch Art in the Heath (AITH) – a free public art trail transforming Kings Heath into an open gallery from Saturday 5th July to Saturday 19th July 2025.
Artworks by local artists will be displayed in independent shops, cafés, and public spaces — turning everyday locations into creative encounters.
A free printed trail map will be available, with QR codes at each venue linking visitors to artist information. The event will be promoted across social media, local press, and community networks.
About the Project
Art in the Heath celebrates the creativity and talent of artists from United Artists of South Birmingham (UASB).
Our mission is to foster collaboration between artists, businesses, and the wider community — transforming the high street into a platform for visual art.
Curated with care and creativity, AITH is designed to encourage discovery, spark conversation, and help establish Kings Heath as a vibrant art destination.
This project is entirely volunteer-led and organised by UASB artists, committed to raising the profile of local creative talent.

-
No — since artists are installing their own work, you can bring your artwork with you on the day you arrange to install it. This avoids the need for a separate delivery trip.
-
Your matched venue will be revealed during the Zoom Q&A session on Sunday 8th June that will start from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. We’ll provide contact details so you can liaise with them directly.
-
Yes, artists are responsible for installing their own work, in collaboration with the hosting venue. They may have guidelines or preferred display areas. If you need help, the AITH team will be available to support where possible.
-
Each venue is different. Some may have hanging rails, hooks, or display areas. Others may require adhesive strips or freestanding displays. Please arrange to visit your hosting venue in advance of hanging your work to assess the space and necessary practicalities for displaying your work. Please discuss installation of your work with a manager or key member of staff.
-
Your acceptance email will specify which artwork(s) of yours have been selected for display, and we think your hosting venue will be able to accommodate them. However, if you have had more than one piece selected, the number of artworks to be displayed may be adjusted by the venue’s staff. This will be discussed between you and the venue.
-
No. Artists are responsible for insuring their own work. Neither UASB nor the hosting venues are liable for damage or theft during the trail.
-
That’s great! All sales are handled directly between the artist and the buyer. We will make sure your contact details are linked with your work via your QR code. No sales commission will be taken by UASB or the venue.
-
Unfortunately, we cannot offer a transport service. If you’re struggling to deliver your work, please let us know and we’ll do our best to connect you with someone local who may be able to help.
-
Details about 🗺️ MAP & PROMOTION below:

-
Yes! We’re holding a Launch Party at • nook • gallery on Saturday 5th July from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. All artists, venue hosts, and supporters are warmly invited.
-
The trail ends on Saturday 19th July. Please arrange the collection of your artwork with the hosting venue when (or before) you hang your work. Venues may not have space to store work safely after AITH has finished. We therefore advise you to collect your work as soon as you can and as soon as the venue is able to accommodate that.
