My artwork has several strands, all of which express my emotional response using watercolour, mixed media or oils. Work includes paintings and prints inspired by beautiful natural spaces found in South Birmingham such as Highbury and Cannon Hill Parks, Holders Woods, the River Rea. I seek these spaces for refuge and reflection, and my paintings celebrate the beauty and peace they offer while noting the fragility of the natural world. 

Other work includes both abstract and contemporary expressive and sometimes figurative pieces in response to my concerns and experiences.

I have developed my practice over sixteen years. A career in art was unfortunately not an option when I was young so I have loved to finally have this opportunity to pursue a career as an artist. My practice is continually evolving through sustained daily studio work, experimental artwork, coursework, commissions, exhibiting around the country as well as locally.

Other loves are dogs and music. I enjoy living with and supporting my beloved rescue dogs and love jazz and music in many forms.
